From research to the field
Every model goes through design, prototype and testing before it reaches the user. Here we describe our method and direction.
Research
We study how detection devices work and the conditions they are used in.
Field testing
We test prototypes on different terrain and record the results.
Innovation
We develop new devices and improve existing ones based on measurements.
Four steps
From idea to product.
Design
We define what the device should show and how it will be used.
Prototype
We build the casing, electronics and screen.
Testing
We measure performance in real conditions.
Improvement
We refine it and move on to the next model.
What we measure on every prototype
Before each model we check the same core points.
Response on different ground
How the reading changes in soil, sand, gravel or wet ground.
Reading stability
Whether the screen gives the same result across repeated measurements.
Battery life
How long the device runs in the field on one charge.
One-handed operation
Whether it is easy to use standing, crouching and with gloves.
How we read the subsurface
In the GroundPiercer, pulse reflections become an image. Objects appear as curves and layers as horizontal lines.
Tests and publications
Field test results and the company's studies will be added here when they are ready.
Responsible use
The devices show readings and do not guarantee finds. They must be used only in lawful locations.
In progress
The fourth model in the range is in development.
What to expect and what not
What the devices do
- Show readings that help with searching.
- Work as portable devices with simple controls.
- Describe their capabilities honestly.
What they do not promise
- They do not guarantee finds.
- Performance depends on the ground and conditions.
- Use only in lawful places and with the required permits.
